Capener, Charlie

Charlie is an incredibly enthusiastic person who likes to set himself goals. Charlie joined the Brewers family in the 2016 season playing in the outfield. Charlie's next goal is to play as a pitcher in the 2017 season and hopes to establish himself as the best player in the league which he hopes will lead to him playing for Team GB at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Charlie hopes to achieve this through hard work and determination. After the Olympics Charlie aspires to earn a contract in the MLB and hopes that it will be with the New York Yankee's but would sign with anyone as he loves the sport. 

Charlie says that his favourite experience in the 2016 season was joining a great team of friendly guys and learning a fantastic sport.

Jarvis, David

Jarvis is another play who played for the Barons until they folded, followed by a short stint at the Plymouth Mariners. Jarvis is a good utility player however prefers to play at first base, where he will most likely be positioned for the majority of the 2016 season. Dave brings a lot of power with his bat which is a great asset to the team.

Lunt, James

Hampshire born, James began his baseball career with the Torbay Barons in 2012, he quickly established himself in the outfeild. James played for 3 years with the Barons at Clennon Valley barr the last few games of 2014.

 

James has a good knowledge of the game, useful social media skills and boundless enthusiasm all of which make him an asset to the Brewers team.

McGlinchey, Daniel

The Newton Brewers youngest talent, Daniel McGlinchey, is aiming to be the clubs starting pitcher for the season, after previously impressing with his pitching talent whilst playing for the Taunton Musketoons. Born and bred in Newton Abbot, McGlinchey was one of the clubs first players and threw the clubs first ever pitch when they played their first game against the Taunton Muskets

Perez, Julio

Julio is one of the Newton Brewers most experienced players. A native of Venuzeula, Julio has previously played for the Torbay Barons and the Plymouth Mariners in the SWBL. Julio brings many different aspects of the game that will help teach the newer players how to play, he is a great batter, fielder and has one of the nastiest curveballs in the SWBL. Julio is a great asset to the Brewers.

Robinson, Paul

Paul joined the Torbay Barons in 2014 and quckly impressed the team with his catching skills, paul is an incredibly enthusiastic and hard working team member.

Paul very much enjoys baseball and is always willing to get stuck in.

Suarez, Sergio

Sergio is also a player that used to play for both the Torbay Barons and the Plymouth Mariners. Positioned in the outfield, Sergio is a great fielder and leader of the outfield, giving new players advice on how to improve their game. Another asset Sergio brings to the team is his batting and baserunning, whilst he isn't afraid to swing at some bad pitches, Sergio often gets on base and always enjoys stealing a base when he gets on.

Frazer started his baseball career with the Torbay barons in 2014 quickly establishing himself as an excellent first baseman and a vital part of the team, frazer has an extensive game knowledge and is a natural born leader.

during his time with Torbay Frazer batted 470 and the following year whilst playing for Taunton Muskets Frazer batted 595.

Frazer is also a qualified coach and is hoping to pass on skills hes learnt to younger players.
